Ffxi low fps

The gang talks Cyberpunk 2077 and shares their favorite 5 games of 2020. I am getting low FPS in whitegate and any other area with a lot of character models. My system is pretty high end and it's very frustrating to have such poor performance in FFXI. Any other games I play run flawlessly. Does anyone have any suggestions on improving my FPS? I would like to get it to cap at 30.

I was advised to try getting 60 FPS since it would improve my gameplay experience. I agree. So far I only average about 30-45, mainly in non-crowded areas. I'm sure I can do better! My system will run that in most situations, with the exception of highly populated areas, like around the PJ abyssea NPCs, where I drop to ~18 FPS, with slow PC load times, but I just attributed this to PJ lag.

Feb 10, 2004 · Is there any way to lock the fps in the game to 30? With the 2048x1024 rendering resolution, the framerate keeps jumping from 30-60fps. At 60fps, all of the animations run WAY too fast, making the game look like it's on fast-forward. I tried increasing the rendering resolution to 2048x2048, but that drops the framerate into the low 20s.
